Hi y'all. I'm from the great, Ambetter-insured, city of Athens, Georgia. I was diagnosed with IBS-C and Chronic Idiopathic Constipation. I recently got prescribed Linzess which is basically a miracle for me and allows me to go back to work. The prescription was originally denied and then eventually accepted after two painstaking appeals from my doctor. They're only paying for $60 of the $394 (1 mo.). This is just unsustainable but Ambetter is the only provider available in my area. I'm desperate for some guidance here. I'll be paying the first month because I need this medication but I'm ultimately unsure of how to proceed.
TL;DR: Have Ambetter, it doesn't pay for poop meds
