I work at a medical clinic and have been helping with insurance things even though I have no experience or training in it. We do not have anyone else with experience so I have no one for ask questions right now. Basically I got us contracted with United Health Care, however we are not contracted with UMR. I saw on here that people said if you are in network with UHC then you must accept UMR. However, I have a patient who was billed the out of network coverage so she has a large balance due. I am trying to contact UMR and UHC but no one seems to be able to help me. Does anyone have any advice on how to join UMR or any insight into the difference between UHC and UMR?
