A few week ago I tripped, dislocating and breaking my arm in two spots. Short story I went to the hospital, they popped it back in place and then preformed surgery on it the next day. Now I'm getting a letter saying my insurance claim is denied. They claimed that the surgery could have been outpatiented but I didn't know that also the hospital staff seemed pretty certain that I couldn't go home and that a needed the surgery now. I talked to my surgeon but he said he couldn't help because is a public hospital so I should talk to billing and billing told me to kick rocks. So I guess I have to go through the appeal process alone? Any advice would be much appreciated, I really cannot afford the surgery.
