Not sure how to phrase the title, but basically, I was trying to verify who/where was in network for the PPO plan I was going to sign up for. The healthcare.gov site says the hospital and doctor are in network.
However, the health system couldn't find the plan (a new for 2024 plan) in its system yet but said they will still get an update before the end of the year so to check back Jan 1st. They told me to contact the insurance company (Aetna) and if they say yes than they will be. Of course, trying to get through to Aetna just directed me to the government site.
Anyways, would I be able to sign up for the PPO plan today but change it to a different marketplace plan in early January if it turns out the people/locations I desire end up NOT being in network?
I am a health insurance broker, kind of hard to answer this question on here. Feel free to give me a call anytime and I’ll answer any questions you may have. 7272443805
