37F here. Just needed a place to vent. I have Priority Health through my employer, and they refuse to refill my prescription on time. I had to buy a pack of my medication back in February, and I use that pack compensate for the pills when I don't have them through my insurance. It cost me a little over $30 for that one pack, out of pocket.
I have to take this medication every day, and get a 3 month supply at a time. I notified my doctor, and she said that she added a pack per year, so I should be fine. I'm not fine. Tomorrow is my last day with my last pack, and then I'm back to taking old medication until my insurance puts my refill through.
I was thinking about going through GoodRX and paying for it myself. It would save me the anxiety and hassle. It would cost me out of pocket about $27 every three months, but I feel like I would have more control over my medication and that I would be able to have it when I need it. I wouldn't have to worry anymore and it won't ever be late. It just sucks that I pay for health insurance and they can't supply me with the medication I need, when I need it.
I'm not sure if I should talk to my doctor about this again, or contact the insurance company to see why this happens every time I need a refill.
