I saw a rheumatologist, in network, then he sent me downstairs to get my labs which turned out to be out of network. Is it justifiable to complain and ask reduction of $1300 bill?

It was at a major hospital (Piedmont Hospital) in the rheumatology department. I could have never imagined the lab would not be covered, but I guess it is my fault for not asking if they would be. Do you think they'd lower it if I ask?
