Hi Headphone Advice Im in the market for some earbuds and after some suggestions.
Price under $400 Australian Dollars (give or take sub $300 USD) Able to be used whilst laying on side Wireless Sound quality >= original apple airpods like the first gen wireless ones. Brand being not apple Battery life preferably about 4 hours on a single charge with a charging case giving another 12 hours. So enough to last an entire day of use with some charging in the case plus a bit extra. Preferably also works better with android/Oppo phones. Whether it be the new Google quick connect or just simply easier connection to the phone compared to apple. Anc/other noise cancellation isn't a requirement but if it comes with then it's just a bonus.
I have an oppo phone and found connection issues with the airpods but other than that they were fine for my uses. Haven't tried gen 2 onwards or the pro airpods at all.
I've had a look at the xm3 and xm4 earbuds. They are looking more convincing but they don't seem to get rave reviews for sleeping on your side. The original airpods (not the old-school wired circular apple earphones but when they made the new wired ones and then made them wireless) I found to be pretty okay for sleeping with/laying on my side as well as the old school apple circular wired headphones. Bit uncomfortable but due to them not going in the ear it meant if I found a comfy spot on the pillow which didn't put too much pressure on the ear I could sleep for hours or lay on my side for hours watching a show. The Oppo headphones that come with the phones are wired but the same design. I just want to get rid of the wires basically. Mostly due to the laying down requirement. I get migraines and headaches and sometimes just having light music or a show or podcast is enough to cancel out sounds which make it easier to control the migraine. Wireless also being a bonus so I can turn over or do what I need to without having a phone flop around and wires get caught up.
Thank you all. My Reddit is playing up and not giving me notifications so I'll check back as frequently as I can.
