Need some advice on the upgrade plan from the Ananda to the aria
Post Body

Hey all! So for some context I started off with the high Fi man Sundara and I fell in love with that headphone but unfortunately the headband broke on me within a few weeks so I had to send it back to Amazon. I spoke with Amazon support about returning my next pair of headphones I purchased which was the Bayer dynamic DT 1990 Pro which I was returning because of the very high amount of trouble in those headphones that I personally couldn’t tolerate and Amazon basically gave me a full refund but said I didn’t have to send the headphones back, which I was very confused but happy about. After this revelation, I used the money they refunded to my card, which was around the ballpark of $650, to purchase a pair of Hifiman Ananda, which at the time were discounted to about $600. I got these headphones in the mail, and as soon as I listened to music on them there was no Brian Vernon. They were just immediately the best headphones I’ve ever heard. Period now, after owning them for about three months, I am noticing the comfort just isn’t there for me with these headphones unfortunately. They do literally almost everything right including the build quality which seems very rigid and nice. So now, I’ve been contacting iPhone support and it turns out there’s an upgrade plan that you can do with iPhone man to upgrade headphones to higher tiered cans. They told me I would be able to upgrade to the iPhone area for about $600, and I was wondering what your thoughts on this upgrade would be. It’s a lot of money for me currently, and it’s really hard for me to get that kind of money because I’m actually blind and currently living off of disability income so expensive headphones are sort of a treat to myself that I save up months to obtain usually and the biggest concern I have here is with the durability of Romain in general. The Ananda was a pretty hard pill to swallow because I know if they ever break I’m straight up just down $600 but I can’t imagine the aria breaking and being down $1300 you know? These wouldn’t be a pair of headphones that I would easily be able to replace maybe if I had a job in the future it wouldn’t be so bad, but I’m a little bit wary about upgrading because I know if a man doesn’t exactly have a good reputation for quality control I’ll be at my Ananda feels very rigid and nice. What do you guys think? Should I just bite the bullet and get the area? Does the area have substantially better build quality that would inspire more confidence than the Ananda or Sunara? Should I just try to send my Ananda back for a refund and save up for a odyssey headphone in the future? Really curious what you guys have to say. I don’t mind waiting and getting a job and figuring this out later. Thank you!
