So for a few years I’ve bought and rebought the LG HBS-930 Tone Platinum. I know they’re not the best but they did all the things I wanted, they worked without failing on me after 3 months, and when I needed to pop them out real quick, I could just pull the cord and they’d snap to the around the neck piece easily. I can’t stand Bluetooth ear buds cause I hate having to hold them while talking to someone and anything with a cord gets tangled in my bag/other gear especially when I’m on the bike.
So I think I’m ready to switch over to a Bluetooth over ear pair. The features I’m looking for are a solid volume output when I’m just letting them rest around my neck like when I’m on my bike and wanna make sure I can hear car horns and the like. Also having controls on the headphones to pause/skip on the fly so I don’t need to pull the phone out every time would be nice. Lastly, I mostly alternate 50/50 between music (metal, hip hop, electronic) and podcasts/audiobooks. So something with clarity, in both voice and the music, and bonus if it carries a solid bump in the bass. But volume output is the biggest ask, as when I’m rocking them around the neck I still like to turn it up (and I know I could get a Bluetooth speaker for this but if my headphones can handle both, I’d rather that just be the case than need a secondary music source I have to carry). Well that amen longevity because I’m sick of having headphones that shed their audio coil after two months of use.
I’ve been looking at the Marshall Major IV’s at the moment, but am definitely open to recommendations and/or reviews on them if they’re solid. Appreciate the help and my ears thank you in advance.
