This audiophile thing is like an advancing disease. I’ve been a sennheiser loyalist for years. They last, and when they’re on for me they sound utterly incredible. But after upgrading to a 58x my lust for something for the other times has gone way up.
I love post hardcore, shameless pop, Electronica. I want something with a fuller, more dramatic and dynamic sound, but with out sacrificing the crispness and beauty that the sennheisers are known for. Sennheisers feel... How do I put this... A bit sparse sometimes, like they dont get grimy or make things hit like they should.
What kind of brands do that? Is this something that even makes sense? Is there something that delivers that better that I might be ignoring like IEMs, planar, or taping an amped up subwolfer to your reproductive organs?
