Hello there...
Currently in the market looking for some IEM's for music listening and the occasional podcast. Interested in finding something with a good soundstage but are comfortable as well. I am trying to avoid something too bass heavy. Looking for a good portable amp/dac recommendations aswell!
my budget for this adventure is (IEM'S) $100-$150, (AMP/DAC) $0-120
Source/Amp - My computer for now
How the gear will be used - Home listening, occasional hiking and bike rides
Preferred tonal balance - I would prefer a balanced pair of IEM's but open to trying out others.
Preferred music genre(s) - alternative metal, shoegaze, prog rock, prog metal, indie rock, indie folk.
Past gear experience -
Sennheiser HD 599 - I don't have much past experience with earbuds/IEM's but i do have some experience with the Sennheiser HD 599 which I'm a huge fan of but they could use a tiny bit more bass.
QC25 - Current daily drivers for hiking and biking. Liked the expansion that can be added to them and the feeling and form factor but the sound was very muddy and was hoping they would have a cleaner sound.
What aspect of your current listening experience would you like to improve?
Cleaner sound then the QC25 and hopefully a very accurate sound nothing to extreme
