I want to get either the FH5 (260€) or the FH7 (500€) and after reading reviews and comparisons I am wondering which one I should buy. Is the FH7 really worth it double the price? Is it that much better?
The IEMs will get used for relaxed listening, mostly jazz, soundtracks, acoustic, some classical and some vocals (especially Meiko Kaji and Eva Cassidy). Maybe also some non-competitive gaming on hot days. I basically want "audiophile" sound and to be able to fully lean back and relax, including resting my head on a pillow, sometimes sideways (while sitting), without headphones getting in the way. I want something more comfortable and less bulky than headphones while keeping the soundquality of headphones.
I'd really like a big soundstage and a fun or warm, detailed sound signature I can listen to for hours. I basically want an IEM that sounds similar to the K712, maybe with a little more bass. Ideally these will be my endgame IEM, since generally I like full sized headphones better.
Please feel free to recommend anything else that comes to your mind and would meet my requirements. Budget is ideally less than 300€, but as I am considering the FH7 I can stretch up to 500€ if really needed. I am looking forward to reading your comments.
Current setup: Sources: RME ADI-2 DAC, Fiio M11, Fiio BTR3K
Headphones: HD 600 (daily driver), DT 1990 (analytical/focussed listening), K712 (gaming/relaxing if it wasn't for the flimsy build), Grado SR80e (relaxing/"I want something different today"), Custom One Pro (when I need a closed back/portable), HD25 (for monitoring/more isolation/lawn mowing)
IEMs: SE215 (sleeping/listening in bed/portable), Tin T2 (wanted to use as a daily driver, but found to be uncomfortable for long periods because of thick nozzle. I could not get a good fit since they force themselves out of my ear no matter what tips I use)
Again, sorry for the long post and thanks for your time.
