Hello everyone, sorry for the noob post but-- after a bit of research and $300 of gift money I decided to buy the 6xx to dive into the audiophile world. I wanted some open back headphones at $200 or less. The other day I placed an order at Massdrop.

But now, they're saying my headphones won't be shipped until March and I've been second guessing myself.

Are the 6XX and a 3 month wait really worth it for someone like me who has no experience with quality headphones? I've been looking at some other models such:

AKG Pro Audio K612, beyerdynamic DT 990, and Philips Audio Fidelio X2HR, or the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700.

I'm really considering cancelling my order and buying one of these from Amazon... waiting 3-4 months for my headphones will be hard but would I be making a mistake? Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot!
