Hi everyone, I’m looking to upgrade my home pc setup. It will mainly be used for gaming and music listening. I work from home 3 days a week, so I’d like a setup that’s good for both.
I’ve been looking at the DT990 pros per my friends recommendation, but the more research I do it seems there’s all sorts of different opinions. I’ve also been recommended the Sennheiser 599s. I plan on using an Antilion mod mic in tandem for gaming communication. Any advice between those two headphones, the mic, or recommendations in their ballpark ( -50 USD) are appreciated.
Another thing I’m completely lost on is a DAC/AMP setup. I was looking at the MOTU M2, but would that be overkill or even necessary? Would I need an AMP with it? Are there any setups at a similar or lower price better suited for my gaming and WFH needs?
My current headphones are the Corsair virtuoso usb Bluetooth, so I bet anything would be a good upgrade. Cutting costs aren’t a huge concern to me, but I’d like to make sure my money spent is actually providing me tangible value.
