Budget is 250. It has to be comfy. A good few headsets I've used in the past have hurt after wearing them for long periods of time. I'd be using it for at least 3 hours a day and most likely more. So comfort is a must.
Apart from this, they would need to have a very good equaliser. This is so I can hear the quieter sounds in videogames (like footsteps) as much as I can hear the louder sounds (liks gunshots.)
Noise-cancelling. My PC is quite loud. So the more noise-cancelling the headset is, the better. (I believe this implies that I'd want a closed back headset aswell).
A wired connection is greatly preferred since I'm always going to have it in the same place so I don't really want to have to charge it / use batteries. Unless it's a god-like headset.
And this is a minor thing but a lot of headsets I've used in the past haven't fully covered my ears. So maybe something with slightly larger ear-muffs would be good. But this isn't necessary.
A while ago I was recommended the DT 700 X Pro. I don't know much about headsets so my inclination is to go with that. Before I purchase though I'm just making this post to see if there's anything else that might be better bang for buck.
If you've used the aforementioned headset feel free to give an honest review of that as well.
Thanks for any and all replies!!!
