Hi,
I have been using the m40X for 2.5 years now and the original pads are starting to peel and wear out. My use case for the headphones has been pretty casual: listening to meetings, listening to orchestral pieces (classical and film/game soundtracks so has both bass and treble components), playing games and watching films. I connect the headphones directly to my laptop without any DAC/AMP. I'm planning to spend up to 35 or so AUD.
I want to increase comfort with my next set of earpads since the original pads are hard and uncomfortable after some hours of use. I have found some earpads below on Amazon and was wondering if these are comfortable and if they change the sound so much?
I understand that different third party pads will change the sound signature, but the reviews seem to be mixed on whether the changes are tolerable or not. Brainwavz Angled/ Sheepskin seems to be preferred based on previous posts on this subreddit, but those are very expensive here in Australia at nearly $70.
Geekria Foam Pads (cheap option, not sure if these will leak more than the others because of fabric): https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09KXZQ2B6/?coliid=I35GR3NTC9516V&colid=30YPLDN2KOJMJ&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_lstpd_6BDYQ0MTDQEKCD1A51B7
