Hello, I'm looking for a nice-ish noise cancelling headphones that will work for my job but not be too bulky to travel with.
What aspect of your current listening experience would you like to improve? In regards to sound, I'm really not picky. I currently use Airpods for personal use and like them just fine. It's really the noise-canceling element that I'm looking for. Something comfortable
Budget - For budget, this is flexible depending on how much I'm getting out of them. I'd prefer to stay below $150CAD, lower would be nice but I understand if it's not possible. If you have something that you think really fits my needs you can let me know. Over anything, longevity is something I do love.
Source/Amp - Bluetooth with a wired option would be preferable.
How the gear will be used - I do quite a bit of traveling, so noise canceling is required. However, I currently work a call-ish center job, and while we are veering away from calls in favour of chats, I may end up moving positions later and would like a good microphone so people on calls can still hear me. This does not need to be a full microphone, but one where people can still hear me would be best.
Preferred tonal balance - Not picky, and honestly not sure. The noise cancelling feature is more important than balance to me.
Preferred music genre(s) - Mostly indie, and rock, though more of a synthy rock or glam rock. Have not had an issue with my Airpods.
Past gear experience - Airpods, the shitty logitech headset, and the numerous types of previous headphones. I'm not too hard on gear especially now as an adult.
I will also admit that because I'm not in dire need of new headphones, I'm looking at aesthetic as well. The Airpod Max's are way out of my price range, but I like the very sleek aesthetic. I personally could not walk about with 800-1000 headphones, but beautiful. Anything in a light minty colour, or a light pink is nice as well.
Please let me know if there is anything you would like me to clarify as I can add more information if needed.
