Hey everyone, let me start off by saying I know these are two different classes of products and I'm not expecting magic.
I had a pair of WH-XM4s I'd use mainly for flying (about 3-4 times a year) but I lent them to my dad and he forgot them on the plane so now I'm looking for a new pair. They obviously had great noise cancelling but my ears stick out quite a bit and would rub against the sensor in the ear cup which would get uncomfortable after a couple hours and actually painful by the end of a 4-5 hour flight.
Because of that and me getting my first iPhone I've actually been considering replacing them with some (2nd gen) airpod pros. I'm not an apple fanboy in anyway, I know earbuds are never going to be the same as over ears, but I was just curious to hear how big the difference is from someone who has experience with both.
The price and sound profile aren't really factors for me, if I'm seriously going to listen to music I have good speakers and over ears at home. I'm mainly concerned about the trade off of ANC vs comfort/portability
