Although we have not had sex yet, my new friend with benefits (neighbor) recently told me she has no STIs, except for HSV2, genital herpes, which she saw symptoms for 3 years ago, and has not had any symptoms since, after taking Valtrex (Valacyclovir) consistently for the past 3 years. (Apparently, she has never given it to anyone in the last 2-3 years).
We have not had sex yet, but now plan on it. What are my chances of getting HSV2 if I have sex with her with a condom? Can I contract Herpes from foreplay (fingering)? Advice?
I know Herpes is common, however, I am 100% STI free (have been tested for HSV), I plan to stay STI free, and I do not want to take meds/potentially pass it to others. I do not want to risk anything if it is that risky... Is condom/safe sex with her extremely low risk or no? What can I do immediately after having sex with her to minimize the risk even more (i.e. shower, etc)? Is it worth the risk or no? TYIA
