Anyone else having problems with the neighborhood requests?

So, for the first time ever in playing, I'm now able to ask for 2 things at a time with farm pass. I collected 5 donated cacaos and 1 nail, but it says that 3 nails were donated....
What do I do? I mainly just feel bad for the person who donated the 3 nails
