Titans were victorious in their home opener against the Colts this Sunday. Titans moved to 1-1 after defeating the Colts 20-10. Tannehill didnât have an amazing day throwing for 142 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. In the rushing game Derrick Henry had a great day picking up 46 yards and two touchdowns with 4.6 yards per carry. Mariota got in the game before he became apart of a trade with the Steelers for a fourth and the rookie speedster Tyree Jackson. He did a sneaky read option play which lead to a great pick up of 21 yards. In the receiving game Delanie Walker had 4 catches 23 yards and the only receiving touchdown for the Titans. The real talk of the game was how well this defense performed after last games defeat. Kevin Byard picked off two ill advised throws from Jacoby Brissett and is looking to keep leading the league in picks (14) since 2017, the year he made the pro bowl and first team all-pro. The third pick came from Adoree Jackson who is looking to have a breakout year this year and is already on track to a career year tying his previous interception total on the year. Jayon Brown had a great day with 5 tackles and 2 TFLâs and a pass deflection. The Titans has no penalties in this game which is a real focus this season against the Colts since last season against them they committed 17 penalties for almost 200 yards the two times they played them. Luckily the Titans has they fewest penalties that year so it shouldnât be a problem they struggle with. As for the other team... the Colts announced that their coach was so furious at half time he pulled a Vontae Davis and quit his job right then and there and left the Colts to fend for themselves. Guess nobody likes the Colts first it was their âfranchiseâ QB Andrew Luck and now their own Coach. Whoâs next? The Titans are looking to carry their week two victory into their next game as they have little time to prepare. Tune into the Thursday night, division rival matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and your Tennessee Titans.
