Getting off of birth control

I’m 22F got diagnosed with Hashimotos last year. I am not symptomatic and I had low antibodies.
I have been on birth control since I was 14 due to heavy periods and bad cramps. Well I’m celibate now and I feel like there’s no need for me to be on birth control. Have any of you been on birth control on Hashimotos and had bad side effects coming off of it?
Im worried that getting off birth control will make me symptomatic for Hashimotos and mess up my hormones
