boyfriend is pressuring me to eat :(

Post Body

I have a lot of trouble eating. On the one hand from the sensory perspective there isn’t a lot of foods I crave. Especially when I try going to the kitchen nothing seems appetizing at all and just thinking about eating makes me want to throw up.

On the other hand I have chronic pain in my legs and chronic fatigue syndrome. I absolutely can not stand in the kitchen long enough to prepare a home cooked meal. That would be necessary due to some food intolerances I have (yeah IBS), that really limit my options.

My safe foods aren’t exactly healthy either, it’s mostly salty snacks - zero preparation and the crunching sounds are like a stim for me.

I have mostly accepted all of this as part of being disabled. I need help and I am doing everything I can to get disability help with for example more money for my specialized diet or even people coming to my home who can cook for me. My boyfriend however has not accepted this. He says that if I really tried I could feed myself and that I just haven’t tried everything yet. If I really wanted to, I could find a solution for this issue all by myself and wouldn’t even need outside help.

So - what else can I do? I tried - frozen veggies - too much work - hello fresh - too pricy and too much work, also couldn’t eat most of the meal options due to intolerances
- protein shakes - not nutritious enough according to him - protein bars - same issue here, not healthy enough - smoothies with protein powder and frozen veggies - so much hassle, so many steps - most easy meal options contain some foods that I can’t eat - I can’t just go to the next bakery to get a sandwich, as those would harm me so much - ordering meals is also not an option due to the cost - I tried meal planning so many times, I lost count - have you seen that hack about having a snack tray in the refrigerator? Didn’t work for me, because I absolutely hate food that is that cold - my last desperate try was putting a bowl of snack sized veggies in the kitchen and eating a few when I walk past it. A hand full of tiny tomatoes is more than nothing I guess

(Disclaimer: my weight and blood levels are regularly checked and the doctors say everything looks fine)

So what am I missing? What can I do to eat three healthy meals every day?
