Best Butterfly Effect?
Post Body

In your opinion, what is the best butterfly effect in the books? For example: had Harry not obtained the Half-Blood Prince’s textbook, he wouldn’t have won the Felix Felicis, thus he wouldn’t have gotten the memory from Slughorn, thus Dumbledore wouldn’t have confirmed the existence of Horcruxes, thus Voldemort would’ve never been defeated. That may not be the best example but that’s why I want to hear yours: what’s the smallest thing that happened in the books that caused the biggest outcome? (And I’m obviously asking beyond, “If Rowling wasn’t born we wouldn’t have the books, if Voldemort didn’t try to kill Harry there’d be no story.”)
