I remember feeling furious when Draco taunted Harry about the traumatic night he escaped Voldemort, saying he's in denial about it ("trying to pretend it hasn't happened?")
The more shocking is how he mocks Cedric for being the first victim of Voldemort returns like he was an idiot while he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It was difficult for me to sympathize for him after that. He was happy thinking Voldemort was going to spare his family... the opposite happened.
He's also 14 or 15. I'm a Draco sympathizer, so you may have to excuse me. But he was just a dumb kid that had been preached all that pureblood bullshit his whole life by his spineless doormat of a father
Harry also did 2 unforgivable curses

I think we should have some sympathy for draco. If we analyze the situation he was put in, it's a lose-lose. Sure, he was a spoiled twat early on. But he was told to kill the most powerful wizard in the world, or his family would pay the price. Id crucio harry too to save my own mothers life. Draco does some jacked up shit, yes. But he was also a kid. The sins of his father shouldn't be his burden to bear. He showed signs of not wanting to be evil. I would say his character isn't so black and white.
