Newbie bike buying questions
Post Body

Howdy! I live in Seattle and am looking to buy a new to me bike. I'm looking at the HD Sportsters, preferably an 883. I'm a 33 year old lady and like the size of the bike as well as the overall look of it. The performance level is about where I want it to be.

I've ridden a 1985 Yamaha Maxim XJ700N (that's a mouthful!), and probably got about 800 miles out of it or so before the wiring went caput, and since the bike itself isn't worth much more than a song, I'm not investing in having the wiring completely redone.

I've found a 2003 Sportster Hugger 883, and the listing for it states "Excellent condition with very low miles (approx 2200). It has been garage kept. $3800."

The price seems suspiciously low. I'm not really sure what types of questions to ask this gentleman when I call him to check on the bike, so, any help would be appreciated. It's a beautiful bike, but I'm worried that something is wrong, hence the cost.
