Long term maintenance on a 114”
Post Body

I’m considering buying a 2022 Ultra Limited with a 114”. It’s priced at $17k and has 40k miles. It appears in pretty clean shape and I can’t find any notable defects from the pictures. I know it was a rental bike previously. That’s roughly 50% off the price of a new totally stock 2023/4 model.

Is there any long term maintenance that will be in the near future? Any concerns with buying one with that high mileage? Typically I’m not concerned about higher mileage but my previous experience has only been on 88”TC motors. I’m aware everything breaks eventually but I also don’t want to buy this and immediately have to dump more money into it for anything besides consumables like tires, brakes or fluids.

This will be a 3rd bike for me so it’s definitely not a need, just a want.

Appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Edit: I also found a 2017 Ultra Limited, 114” with 18k miles for $16k price tag. Was there any notable changes between 2017 and 2022 model years? I thought the switch back to cable clutches and maybe a steep upgrade?
