Headset sizes?

I’m building a hardtail frame up(v2 dartmoor primal), and pretty much the only thing left is a headset, which I’m so confused about. The frame specs say the headset type is is42/is52 which I’ve got 0 idea what it means. The forks already have a crown race installed, also I’ve got a bmx with a 1 1/8 (I think) headset. Can I use the top part from the bmx and just buy the bottom part bearing?
