Bona spray doesn’t get our floors clean, and the micro scratches are taking over. I’m looking into revitalizing them, new top coats, but I still need a better cleaning upkeep regiment and general way to a way to get dirt and gunk loose.
The Bona just doesn’t do it. Dirt remains intact, glommed on to the floors, with an uneven residue left behind. I’ve tried copycat spray hardwood cleaners, and it was the same thing. It doesn’t dislodge or break down grime, and it kind of marries the dust to the floors. The place looks dirtier than it is. I like the idea of Bona but I kiss the effectiveness of the products that do harm to floors. I also suspect a lot of advice is really meant for laminate instead.
We stopped using water, but at least it got them clean. Stopped using sponge mops too.
Bonus question, is what material mop will help push grime up without adding degrading the coating?
