This happened last summer...
One night after a long day at work, I decided to treat myself to a nice massage. I pick a place I had been to once before, quite a while ago, and enjoyed my visit.
Anyway, I go in, hand her a $100, she comes back with my $40 change, and I enjoy my massage with standard HE. Hereās is where it gets weird. She asks me for a ride to the store and back. Itās across the street and a block down. No problem. She leaves to change into civilian clothes and when she comes back I try to tip her $60. She refuses and says āNo, you give me rideā. Ok, sweet. We get in the car, and she hands me back the $100 bill I gave her. I say whatās this for, and she says itās for taking her to the store. I refuse, as sheās already declined my tip. She insists to the point of just leaving in the console of my car.
I take her to the store, wait about 5 mins for her to return, and take her back to the spa, at which point she throws ANOTHER $20 in the console of my car and tells me to wait while she get more. I try to hand her the (now) $120 back and tell her sheās already given me too much already, at which point she puts the hundred back in my console thanks me and goes back into the spa. She said she was new, so Iām guessing she doesnāt know what our money is worth?
TL;DR: Got paid $40, a massage, and a HE for a 10 minute round trip drive.
