Here's what I do:
separating myself from any triggers, whether online or IRL.
acknowledgement and acceptance of those who have hurt me; they have and will never change their abusive behaviors. Gray-rocking is key for me as I still live with toxic relatives.
adding on to the previous point, affirmations and self-forgiveness. We are very often told to forgive others, even if they did unforgivable things. But how about forgiving ourselves? For all the pain that they put us through, since, after all, we did not choose to be here.
watch relaxing/happy videos such as: coloring, cute animals, anything related to travelling.
reaching out to my medical team, small group of friends I've made; gathering resources so that I may move out sooner.
