So, hannibal prepares fish, and when Jack asks about it, he very suspiciously says "he was a flounder" in the same way that he has often revealed who is being eaten. I saw another thread discussing this, but from the perspective that the fish was human. There were plenty of folks in that thread who, like myself, don't think human could be passed off as fish, BUT...

What if the human is symbolic? He's referring to Will and his plight. Will 'flounders' to survive his own mind in season 1.. maybe eating flounder is an act of symbolic victory, for yet another human he believes he's conquered? Further, he conquers will via his love of fishing, by manipulating the fbi into believing Will had been making his lures out of human remains.

Maybe this is a shit theory but uh... im watching hannibal for the first time and this was the only place I could think to rant about it, heh.
