My partner tripped over the onboard lazy kate, and it’s split the wood that is the base of the treadles in half.
I don’t want to mess about with wood glue because I don’t think it will hold - does anyone know if I’ll be able to buy a replacement part from Kromski themselves?
I’ve emailed them directly but I’d love to know if anyone has had similar accidents in the past and been able to resolve it this way too, I can’t afford to buy a brand new wheel
Modern and ancient wood glue is actually a stronger bond than lignin (the natural glue bonding cellulose in tubes that makes wood wood), but most people suck at using any form of glue and make a mess that can't hold a feather... It's like spinning you need to learn it to do it, so unless you know how to glue wood for real buying a replacement is a good option
