I picked up a Frank Fell wheel today. I was able to swap in another wheel’s bobbin and whorl to test her out.. it does needs work but does spin beautiful yarn. I’m kinda torn on either stopping after stabilizing and repairing or totally restoring it. What would you do?
Those are very neat little things you could find all over the world mid 1950s. It's a bit too low for my tall carcass but a very great spinner with the right belt for finger sized wools. It lacks inertia for bigger ones.
Mine has been given to me by a friend and came broken in a box from her grandmother who spun on it in south east France... You can usually see them painted with a pole distaff.
