Are there any nice places to go for a walk on the mountain that aren't hiking trails?

I'm thinking about parks and such. My friend and I started doing weekly walks in the city, usually at McQueston and Eleanor, but we're bored of it. We'd like to stick to the mountain area, so I'm wondering if other folks know of some decent places to just do several laps around.
Google only gives me hiking trails and woodsy places, but we'd like something more open.
