So I have a Baofeng HT and it works great, and would love to get a mobile rig in my vehicle for use in MRC/CERT/SKYWARN/Talking on local repeaters, to take advantage of having more power and a better antenna.. I do have the ability to "wire" in the HT with a adapter and antenna adapter, but would prefer something just installed. But I'm looking around, and damn... Dual-band 2m/70cm radios are pretty expensive. Even used mobile transceivers that I've been finding are going for $300-400 bucks.

Anyone have any recommendations for equipment that can get the job done but not make my wallet feel like it's been abused? Down in the under $200 range?
