Halo 4 ending

At the end of Halo 4, we see Chief strolling to take his armor off, and he’s a heck of a lot taller than Palmer. In halo 5, we see him more or less as tall as other Spartans. What’s with this? Did the Librarian’s geas activation make him taller as well as immune to the Composer or just immune to the composer?
