How canon do you consider Palace Hotel from Halo: Evolutions?

Something that's been bothering me is that Palace Hotel is obviously a complete contradiction of the levels Outskirts and Metropolis from Halo 2, despite being written after the game originally released. So how do you personally interpret the story?
