Co-op online laggy, input delays, unplayable

Does anyone have a fix for the coop being literally unplayable? Need just one more achievement since I did the rest on my own because of this reason. its been however many years and was wondering if anyone has a solution for it. Deja Vu wouldnt be a problem if it was splitscreen capable with controller emulators but on pc you cant add more people in
