I work in an office where my mug always goes missing. I bought a nice, custom mug with my name on it to stop the mug thief, but somehow, it keeps disappearing from the kitchen. One day, I decided enough was enough.

I ordered some gelatinous fake worms from an online gag store and got to work. I brewed a cup of coffee and carefully placed a few of those wiggly worms at the bottom, mixing them in so they would look like coffee grounds. I left the mug out on the kitchen counter and went back to my desk.

It took less than an hour for someone to grab it. I watched from my desk as the thief took a sip, paused, and then looked down into the mug. Their eyes went wide as they saw the slimy ‘worms’ at the bottom. They spit the coffee out right there and gagged, holding the mug out like it was cursed.

They turned to me, and I casually said, ‘Oh, you found my special coffee. Nice, right?’ The look of horror on their face was priceless. Since then, my mug has stayed exactly where I leave it every day.
