For background, I took oral finasteride 1mg daily for nearly 2 years but had to quit due to the development of brain fog, ED, and sporadic episodes of depression that were fucking me up in my personal life and at work. It's a shame because it regrew and maintained my hair quite well. I've been shaving my head for the last couple of years and I don't hate the look at all. With that being said, I'm tired of having the same look and want to experiment more with my hair. I was thinking about looking into using topical minoxidil with 0.025% finasteride. From my understanding, using low dose topical finasteride is just as effective as as using 1 mg orally, with topical not going nearly as systemic. If that's the case, I'm curious if it would be able to restore my crown to acceptable hair density.
