Why are silicones and sls considered bad for curly hair even though they work great?
Post Body

I've been doing the curly girl method for a solid 9 months. Following ever rule.. It worked out well, my hair recovered well from heat damage. But I was kind of tired of spending so much money on 'Natural products' and after lurking this sub for a little while I decided to try out silicones and sulphates.

I switched to Aussie mega moist conditioner and tresemme deep cleanse shampoo since they're really cheap and my hair looks better than it ever has before. Detangling is super easy, and my hair is curlier.

edit: It's been 6 days since I washed my hair and it still looks great.. I feel like silicone does most of the work any oil, butter can without it weighing my hair down and prevents frizz waaaay better too. One of the best decisions I've made. For reference I have fine 3b type hair.
