Why do pony tails and hair clips (even for 2 minutes) leave a dent in my hair when straightened? I noticed that if I get my hair blow dried by a professional, it doesnโt happen. Is it because they have a better hand? Or use better products? Does my hair lack protein?
For reference, I have almost elbow length , 3a /3b hair pattern.

Is this a porosity issue? I want my hair to be thick and healthy so that there are no dents. Or be able to use a hair clip at the gym and not ruin my hair after the work out. SOS !!!

Agree. The professionals just got enough time to blow your hair.
