Post Body

I had a much longer post that didn’t save but here are the bullets: Transplant date 02/21/23 Tijuana Mexico -4100 follicles = $4800 including 2 PRP injections, 2 nights at the grand hotel Tijuana and transportation over the border and back again to the San Diego airport. -Booking was easy, pricing very transparent on the website. Communication with the staff over email was clear and helpful -Arriving in the airport the driver was friendly and also answered any questions I had -Going across the border was easy and it was only a 20 minute drive to the hotel from the airport -The hotel was tricky to navigate because Im dumb and don’t speak Spanish but the staff tried their best and I eventually got to my room ( dont be afraid to use google translate) - Procedure was the following day -The clinic is connected to the hotel so it was a 10 minute walk from my room and I was guided by a clinic staff member who was excellent - Got a ton of blood drawn, hair shaved, hairline drawn on. The doctor didn’t speak English but through a translator was able to make alterations to his design although the translator didn’t understand when I said I wanted an irregular hairline. Regardless I was happy with the end design - Doctor said I didn’t have enough donor hair to do my crown which I was bummed about. But appreciated his honesty and knowledge. - Follicle extraction about 2 hours ? I was given a handful of drugs and time moved weird. - Anesthetic for extraction was the worst part. My whole body was shaking so much I thought I was having a bad reaction to the mystery drugs. Probably received 100 jabs. Also the nurse was having difficulty with it and I would feel and explosion of anesthetic on my back along with her sounding agitated. Didn’t give me a lot of confidence - God bless the anesthetic I didn’t feel anything. I was allowed to put in ear plugs but the clinic was blasting music which I didn’t love.
- Lunch break ( get tacos ) during that time they count how many follicles they could extract. -They extracted more than they had anticipated so the price went up from what I had paid after my consult with the doctor. - After 30 minutes it was transplant time - More painful anesthetic but I got an extra valium beforehand so it wasn’t as bad
- This was much easier and much more pleasant than the extraction. I watched Jurrasic Park and the first quarter of gladiator and then I was all done! - Rested and got uber eats to deliver me the best tacos of my life ( Taco Nazo Hipódromo ) - The next day I had my bandage removed and replaced from the extraction area. - Had an excellent driver take me across the border. It took slightly longer maybe 45 minutes to get to the airport - Be prepared for looking like a freaky frankenstein at the airport. You’re not allowed to cover your head so many people will be staring. Probably the worst part of the whole experience for me

So far no regerts and recommend TJ hair but time will tell.
