The other day I had a very interesting experience. I was simultaneously redoing the hairline on my poly unit and fighting with my girlfriend on the phone. In my distracted state I realized I was applying my bond and had forgotten my scalp protector. At that point I said āwhateverā assuming in a few days Iād be doing this again, but I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly my hairline looked FLAWLESS. Also itās been three days now and Iām noticing zero difference in how my bond is acting. So I pose to you this question: are we being sold a line of bull so companies can sell scalp protector? Donāt misunderstand, I understand the THEORY as to why itās needed and logically it makes sense. But from what I can tell we all use it because at some point we were beginners and we were told we needed it. Has anyone else tried going without it? What are your experiences? The real test will come over the next few days as I see if the bond lasts as long as usual but I have to say so far so good. What do you guys think?
Edit: 5 days in Iām doing a reinstall. Not because I need it but I have a date tonight and wanted a fresh install. Zero irritation on my head so I guess for me personally scalp protector isnāt necessary. Also it baffles me how many of you either didnāt read the whole post or donāt comprehend when I say āI understand the theory as to why itās neededā and proceeded to explain to me why itās needed. Some of you are really special š
