I've wanted to dye my hair for quite a while now, and I finally have a job that will let me do it! I've never dyed my hair before though and I'm incredibly anxious about it. It's one part that I'm just not very knowledgeable about the process and one part being afraid I will quickly get tired of it and want my natural color back.

So this or this is what I was thinking of doing. This is currently what my hair looks like.

So what do I need to know before I get my hair dyed? I'm expecting to spend some money and I have a reputable salon picked out, but that's about it. If I decided to do this, will I be able to get my natural color back? Is there a way to do it without bleaching my hair and it still look good?

I wanna try something new and different, but its so scary!

Edit: Also how often would I need to get something like this touched up, just when my roots grow out? Would a touch up be something I could do at home?
