I (30F) have fine wavy hair, and a lot of it. Growing up I used drugstore shampoo and conditioner everyday, and styled it with mousse or gel. My hair was healthy and fine.

In my mid 20s I started seeing videos on Instagram and TikTok about the “curly girl method” and all these more natural products that would help your hair. I figured I’d give it a go. I switched to As I Am products, started using their shampoo, conditioner, and Cowash. I went from washing my hair everyday to once a week, and cowashing in between.

My hair became dehydrated, frizzy, unmanageable, and overall just horrible. I kept trying different products every few months to see if something else helped, spending so much money trying to find a “good” option.

I recently switched back to drugstore shampoo and conditioner (Aussie Total Miracle) and all I ever use is my green tub of Eco gel. My hair is soft again. I have no frizz and it feels healthy. I have officially been deinfluenced..

Same thing happened to me. Pantene hydrating glow shampoo and conditioner saved my hair from overpriced products
