I’m currently growing out my bangs for the first time in ages, and they’re at the worst possible length to deal with. They’re the perfect length to stab me in the eyes, but my hair is VERY stubborn, so my bangs don’t want to part yet. I have a lot of hair and it’s very fine and slippery, and I feel like most of the typical bang-hiding solutions just don’t work for me. Bobby pins and barrettes just slide around and don’t actually hold anything in place. My bangs resist pretty much every gel on the market besides got2be glued, which makes my bangs look like a helmet and makes them so brittle that I worry about breakage. I have a widows peak that causes a bit of a cowlick, which I think might be part of the problem, because the very middle of my bangs tend to spring out of place first.
Does anyone with slippery, stubborn hair have advice for subtly getting my bangs out of my face? I’m wearing a beanie pretty much every day but I’m getting sick of it :-(
