disclaimer: LONG POST AHEAD.
for context, I've been bleaching and coloring my hair during the pandemic and finally stopped last year when face-to-face classes resumed in our uni (unfortunately, bleached or extravagant hair colors are not allowed). my friends used to give me compliments by saying that i have extremely strong hair since i always bleach my hair every 6-8 weeks and almost change hair colors every month.
now this year, i recently noticed that my hair is thinning (not balding, fortunately). idk if this from genetics or overall stress that i felt throughout the past few months or maybe i just have a cortisol (thanks, tiktok). i thought it was due to my genetics but thing is, im waaay too EARLY for hair thinning since my older brother started to have thin hair during his early 30's. he's not bald or anything but you can clearly notice that his hair is not thick as it used to be and im on my ealry 20 so it's clearly concerning.
I also think this is from the stress I've been feeling the past 6 months? Which the 'high cortisol' shenanigans came up because it somehow checks the boxes. so i really don't know the causes of it lol
if you're still reading this, congrats because this is where im gonna really ask the question: can i still bleach my hair even though its thinning? im currently having a quarter life crisis and i just wanna feel something, yall. help ya boi out ðŸ˜
