I'm sorry if I've broken any rules here, but this seems like the only appropriate place for this... rant.
Basically, I can't get through the "documentary" because it appears heavily anti-union while taking on the guise of education, and representation for blue-collar skilled workers in the US. The whole thing seems to be a massive propaganda piece that is pro-company, pro-corporation, and anti-union and anti-worker. It seems geared toward stating that the workers should all be happy that this Chinese corporation is investing in their community. And while it does show the massive safety problems, it seems to merely give them lip-service. Instead of focusing on the fact that these skilled workers are still making far less than they did under Unionized work for GM, or the fact that working conditions there are so terrible that people are working in 400 degree heat, and suffering constant accidents, it sort of gives them just enough lip-service to make the CEO seem "good" when he says that the company needs to "work on things" so that the Union doesn't work.
The company then fired several workers attempting to Unionize.
